The government delegate, Francisco Jiménez, and the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, chaired this morning the Local Board of the town to organize and coordinate the security device on the occasion of both the summer carnival and the LGTBIQ Pride parade;
a total of 39 agents of the Civil Guard - as the Government delegate advanced - will participate in the security operation guaranteeing, together with local police, Civil Protection, Red Cross or Firefighters, the tranquility of all residents and holidaymakers during a event that last year attracted more than 40,000 people.
The delegate of the Government has explained that the patrols that will ensure safety in both parades will be added another in charge of ensuring the safety of the remaining streets of the municipality to avoid that during the parades the houses that are empty may be subject to theft.
