As of next year, the training courses of the Social Institute of the Navy will be taught in Ãguilas (22/07/2019)

The mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, the mayor of Pesca, Bartolo Hernández, and the senior employer of the Fishermen's Association of Águilas, Manuel Díaz, recently held a meeting with the provincial director of the Social Marine Institute (ISM), Julián Pedro Paredes, in the alcaldía of the Aguileño Consistory.

Moreno highly valued the meeting in which, among other things, "we have achieved that the training courses that previously only took place in Cartagena can, starting next 2020, be developed in Águilas which will mean that those interested do not have to move to be formed. "

Specifically, courses in "Basic Training in Maritime Safety, First Aid Module", "Harbor Master" and "Sailor fisherman" will be taught in Águilas.

In the same line, provincial director of the Social Institute of the Navy announced that next year it will also be possible to review the kits of fishing vessels in the municipality of Águilas.
