The spokesman of the Government Team, Tomás Consentino, will present a motion to the Ordinary Plenary session this afternoon, to which they have joined the rest of the Municipal Corporation groups, to urge Renfe's leadership and the Ministry of Development to redefine the Renfe workshop of our municipality as a reference center for maintenance of railway components, which would guarantee the continuity of the existing workforce, as well as the assignment of new tasks that would allow the creation of new jobs.
Along the same lines, from the municipal Plenary session, the necessary agreements with the UPCT of Cartagena will also be requested to allow the implementation of the practices of the engineering engineering schools and the training cycles of Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician in Águilas. .
This motion - Consentino said - "arises from the demands of the workers of the CERC of Águilas and their union representatives with whom we have met in order to support a claim that we consider totally necessary to guarantee the survival of the Aguilas workshop".
