Last Saturday, August 3, a large group of athletes played the José Ruíz Lajarín Memorial Athletics Test, on the slopes of the Municipal Sports Board of Águilas, which bear his name.
In the test, which took place during six hours, between 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 00:00 on Sunday, children and adults runners participated, both individually and in teams.
Before the sporting event, tribute was paid to the aforementioned Aguileño runner.
Her widow, Emilia Melenchón, received an excited bouquet of flowers from the Councilor for Education, Maido Simó, in recognition of her husband's career and dedication to the world of athletics.
The mayor of the Treasury, Jose Manuel Gálvez, presented the prizes to the little ones, while the head of Education, Francis Gallego, did the same with the modality of adults.
