Carmelo Sánchez and José Miguel Oltra, winners of the XXXIV Villa de Ãguilas Fishing Contest (05/08/2019)

This morning the awards ceremony of the XXXIV Edition of the Villa de Águilas Fishing Contest took place.

The place chosen was the Basel bar in an act conducted by Alonso Paredes.

On this occasion the high participation has been protagonist, with members of societies from Cartagena, Murcia, Lorca, Almería and Castellón.

The couple formed by Carmelo Sánchez and José Miguel Oltra, from the Tecno Pesca club, has won first place with 98 captured pieces, the largest of which has weighed 500 grams.

The mayor of the municipality, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Urban Planning, Tomás Consentino, have been responsible for delivering the trophies to fishermen, located in the top ten positions.

The mayor has expressed her satisfaction for "The large number of participating clubs, congratulating the host club Villa de Águilas

for the extraordinary organization of the aforementioned event ".
