The mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, has requested meetings with the councilors of Development, Health and Education "in order to address, as soon as possible, issues of interest in each of these areas for Águilas."

In this sense, Moreno has explained what are the issues that, urgently, should be addressed with the Ministry.

Regarding Health, Moreno has insisted on the need to hold a new meeting with the counselor in order to advance the situation of the High Resolution Integral Center (CIAR), the need to implement the 24-hour lightning service, as well as the to strengthen SUAP and ambulance service during the summer period.

With regard to Promotion, the General Urban Planning Plan is, without any doubt, "one of the issues that is most needed by the Ministry."

Similarly, other proposals that Moreno will send to the recently appointed Minister of Development, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, will be: the possibility of signing an agreement for the reception of the entrance road to Águilas from the shield roundabout, of in such a way that by means of the subscription of said Agreement some works of arrangement of that entrance between the two administrations are realized;

the installation of traffic lights on RM 333, at the intersection with the urbanization of Calarreona;

the modification of the entrance to the Barrafuerte Industrial Estate;

the project for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of the RMD 14 road with the RMD 15 road, a performance committed by the Ministry for several years and for which - Moreno assured - there is availability of transfer of the land by the City Council;

and the construction of a roundabout on RMD14 at the entrance of the urbanization of Los Collados.

Another meeting request made by the mayor of Aguileña has been with the Ministry of Education in order to address issues such as the removal of asbestos roofs from the CEIP of Águilas, the implementation of Training Cycles related to the Restoration in the IES Rey Carlos III, the implementation of Training Cycles related to agriculture in the IES Europe, the implementation of a Training Cycle of Nautical activities in the IES Alfonso Escámez, the solution to the problems of accessibility of the IES Alfonso Escámez or the Investment in the CEIP de Águilas, including here the possibility of setting up a school canteen at CEIP URCI.
