Impressive was the influx of public that invited the Serenade to Paco Rabal.
The House of Culture that bears the name of the unrepeatable actor from Aguileño filled all its capacity and even had to host public in corridors and stairs.
The Bolera School of Fuente Álamo, accompanied on this occasion by the Cuadrilla de la Cuesta de Gos and with the collaboration of Julián Pérez Páez, cantaor, and Tomás García Martínez on guitar, staged the show Danzas de mar y almendos, in that the interventions of all of them were alternating with audiovisual moments of Paco Rabal, reciting or starring in cinematographic sequences.
Since 2006, at the initiative of the great Aguileño musician, and partner of Milana Bonita, Antonio Jaime García Mengual, he inaugurated these serenades with an unforgettable performance by Camerata Aguilar, there are already fourteen editions that have been happening, and with different types and styles;
from classical music to cooler sounds such as Havana, or choral performances, passing, as on this occasion and that of last year, with Juanjo Robles, for more traditional and root music.
Nothing better than the music and traditions of his land to honor and remember Paco Rabal in his most personal environment;
always, but especially these days, when the 18th anniversary of his death is about to be fulfilled.
