The Andalusian José Fernando Cuenca became this weekend the winner of the Águilas Premio de Novela Corta for his work The Woman in the Beige Cardigan;
A story that - the author said - "tries to reflect two of the most powerful tools that human beings have: solidarity and love."
The awards ceremony, which took place in the Auditorium and Congress Palace and was enlivened by the musical performances of María José Muñoz Jareño, was attended by the mayor of Culture, Maido Simó, the president of the jury and promoter of This project, José Asensio, and the rest of the jurors in charge of selecting the best of the works among the almost 500 submitted.
The second prize went to The Last Supper, by Pablo José Conejo from Madrid, and the third one to "A name aloud" by Nélida Leal.
