The House of Culture hosted this weekend the presentation of "Reading book with mouths", an innovative method of reading developed by Irene Rejón Santiago, teacher of Audition and Language who performs her teaching work in Águilas.
These booklets have been reflected in the edition of three books;
one of them dedicated to lowercase letters, a second for capital letters and a third, "Reading first based on different mouth positions", for English speakers who learn to read and pronounce Spanish.
"The methodology consists in placing the shape of the mouth under each consonant. Only by knowing the uppercase vowels they begin to read at the moment. Currently they are being tested with students who start reading, ASD, TEL, Syndrome of Down, psychic disability, dyslexia, literacy and foreigners who learn Spanish, "said Rejón recently.
