On September 20, the SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP OF PADEL VETERAN TEAMS OF 2nd CATEGORY started at the Padelante Club of Águilas (Murcia).
Padelante Club was decorated to receive the 15 registered teams (8 male and 7 female) coming from various points of the national geography such as, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​San Sebastián, Castellón, Vitoria, Pamplona, ​​Málaga, Santa Cruz de Bezama (Cantabria) and Seville.
On Friday, September 20, the different teams were received at the Padelante Club facilities, giving them a welcome pack with everything necessary for the tournament dispute as well as gifts and typical products of the land for their tasting, and Águilas tourist information, so that you could take advantage and enjoy your stay to the fullest.
They already started on Friday afternoon the different qualifiers both male and female, facing the quarter-final rounds and deciding the semifinalists that they would face on Saturday.
A lot of tension and exciting qualifiers.
In the men's category, Vilanova and Real Club de Tenis Zaragoza beat Jolaseta and Sato, placing themselves at the semifinal on Saturday.
In the other part of the box Padel Club Castellón and Playa de Somo did the same with Villa Padel and Tennis Club Castellón.
In the women's category Polo De Barcelona has a first exempt crossing and would play with Padel Jundiz, who won his quarter-final to Club REP, going on to play the relegation phase in a league format.
The other two quarterfinals opted for CD 2+ and Fibra Esports beating Club de Padel ASM and RC Tenis San Sebastián.
He woke up on Saturday with an incredible climate and temperature, the same one that has predominated throughout the tournament, and the games began playing the relegation phases and the attendees were able to witness very intense and exciting matches.
In the men's section, Villa Padel and Jolaseta won the victory and condemned CD Sato and CT Castellón for the 7th and 8th place and therefore the decline in category.
In the women's category the first game of the relegation league was played and CT San Sebastián took the first victory of the day against the Madrid REP Club.
The games continued on Saturday afternoon, the boys in their main draw played the semifinal round, playing the tightest qualifiers of the entire tournament and rising with the victory and being as finalists Playa de Somo Central Padel and the Real Club de Tenis Zaragoza for the same result 3/2 against Vilanova and Calderón.
And the same happened with the girls, very tight and exciting matches gave Club de Polo and CD 2 + the pass to the final and eliminated Fibra Esports and Padel Jundiz on the way up.
In the women's relegation phase the last two qualifiers were played winning REP and CT San Sebastián to Club de Padel ASM saving the category and sending ASM to the descent.
And on Sunday the main course of the Championship, the finals were put into play.
The audience was numerous, who approached the facilities of Padelante Sports Club to enjoy these games and who gathered in the different tracks celebrating each of the points.
In the men's category, the Somo Beach, of course favorite, with players like Roby Gattiger or Gustavo Brinner among others, won the Real Club de Tenis de Zaragoza that sold their defeat very expensive and that delighted the attendees with extraordinary points.
For its part in the women's section, the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona won the victory, demonstrating that all the couples in their team were the most compensated, which led to the victory of this championship in Spain against Club Cd 2 +, Another team that rose in category and has developed a great competition.
