The PMUS is framed in the sustainable and integrated urban development strategy Águilas Sostenible, 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Multiannual Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020.
The main objective of this Plan is the proposal of a set of actions within the scope of the municipality, where priority is given to non-motorized forms of travel (walking, cycling, etc.) and facilitating, where possible, the use of modes of collective transport.
It is, in short, to develop actions that reduce the use of fossil fuels and polluting emissions.
