In a little more than fifteen days the works of a new stretch of bike lane between Águilas and Calabardina will be completed that will allow the connection of the two existing lanes, resulting in a cycleable section of something more than five kilometers that will circle the entire municipality.
This was the announcement made yesterday by the first mayor of Aguileña, Mari Carmen Moreno, in the visit made, together with the mayor of Urban Planning, Tomás Consentino, to his works.
The stretch of pedestrian lane that is being carried out runs between the round of the Industrial Estate and the one located at the height of the weekly market, through a parallel path to the ring road except for a section that will run through the large green area that It will be developed within the Life Adaptate Project and whose works will also begin in a couple of weeks.
During the visit, Moreno recalled that "one of the commitments of this Government Team was the construction of a bike lane that linked Aguilas with the Calabardina district and we are working on that."
In this sense, the first mayor has advanced that "in a few weeks the project will be tendered for the construction of a new section of this lane with which, predictably, next summer the lane between Águilas and Calabardina will be completed".
