The month of October begins and with him "October Young", the program where the various youth associations and entities of the municipality organize activities for the young audience in Aguila.
Among the participating organizations, this edition has for the first time the Association of Democratic Memory of Eagles, of recent constitution.
As a novelty in the wide range of activities, a cultural event will take place this year that will give visibility to the fight against oblivion undertaken for years by the victims of the Franco dictatorship and their descendants.
The activity will consist of the screening of the documentary "The silence of others", released last year, which takes a tour of different cases of political repression during the Franco regime.
It will take place on Friday, October 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the "Capri" Youth House.
In the words of Pedro Javier López, historian and spokesman for the Association of Democratic Memory of Eagles, "the drama of repression practiced during the forty years of dictatorship of General Franco remains a painful reality in our society."
He affirms that, with this initiative, they intend to "sensitize on an issue that still causes much suffering to those who suffered it".
