The mayor of Health of the City of Águilas, María Dolores García, has informed that next Monday, October 28, the flu vaccination campaign will begin in the health centers of the Region of Murcia.
A campaign whose objective is to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to influenza in the Region and which is mainly aimed at people over sixty, under sixty with pathologies, pregnant women, health center workers, nursing home staff, people who care for patients at risk or people living in the home with people belonging to risk groups.
García has encouraged "the people included in the risk groups to request an appointment for vaccination at their reference center with the complete assurance that this measure will be beneficial for their health or, in case of doubts about the suitability of being vaccinated , check with your doctor or nurse. "
Along the same lines, the head of Health of the City of Águilas has taken the opportunity to remind "people born between 1969 and 1979 who are not sure that they have passed the measles that is currently developing a vaccination campaign in that age group by what is convenient to see your doctor to prescribe the vaccine. "
