Last Sunday guilas became the capital of athletics with the participation of 230 athletes who took the exit to play the Half Marathon City of guilas and the 7 Kms Juan Palazn Memorial.
The good weather reigned at all times, serving as an incentive for the fisfrute of the athletes, who toured an urban circuit of about 21,000 meters, with departure and finish in the esplanade of the Infanta Elena Auditorium.
The Bay of Levante reigned with its spectacular views of the passage of the athletes.
In the 7 Kms, proof that serves as a souvenir and tribute of the disappeared athlete Juan Palazn Aguileo, first stepped on Jesus Zamora Tortosa, from the Cuevas de Nerja Athletism club, while in the female category the boxer from Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Carmen Rosemary.
In the half marathon the first ones to position themselves were David Martnez, of the San Blas Athletics Club of Elche de la Sierra, and Esther Glvez, of CA Sureste.
The trophy delivery was chaired by the widow and the son of the beloved and remembered athlete Juan Palazn, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports Cristbal Casado.
