The City of Águilas has joined the "Encesta glass, we all win" campaign, launched by Ecovidrio, which seeks to relate healthy living habits, such as sports, with other healthy habits for our planet, such as glass recycling.
The objective of this initiative is to increase the amounts of glass containers that are collected in the igloos, raising awareness of the importance of recycling, while promoting the practice of basketball and the values that this sport has associated.
To achieve this, Ecovidrio and the Autonomous Community, together with the municipalities that have joined, will install five original igloos shaped like a basketball.
At the end of the campaign, the municipality that has collected more containers will be rewarded with the reform of one of its municipal tracks with recycled glass materials.
In the specific case of Águilas, these containers will be installed from November 11 to 17.
From the City Council of Águilas, the mayor of Environmental Education and Road Cleaning, Ginés Desiderio Navarro and Isabel Fernández, respectively, have encouraged the aquilineans to join an initiative that, in addition to benefiting our planet, can make us beneficiaries of the renovation of one of our sports facilities.
