The mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, the mayor of Cemeteries, Isabel Fernández, and the mayor of Maintenance and Public Works, Tomás Consentino, have visited this morning the cemetery of the town where various actions have been carried out on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Todos los Santos, date in which a massive influx of people to the local cemetery is expected.
The mayor of Cemeteries, Isabel Fernández, has reported that different actions are being developed from the Department of which she owns;
in this sense- he has stated- "to the usual works of cleaning and clearing the plots and maintenance actions based on minor works and painting, other improvement actions have been added this year, all with the clear objective of embellishing the cemetery and make it a more pleasant place for people who are going to visit their loved ones. "
This year, specifically, the number of planters and stairs have been increased, all the banks have been replaced and the video surveillance system installed just over two years ago in the municipal cemetery has been expanded to cover all points of the enclosure.
In addition, in the Plaza de Los Ángeles, a high-relief marble mold has been placed, the work of the Aguileño sculptor Mario Fernández.
In the same way, the City Council has agreed with the contractor of urban transport to expand the bus lines.
Thus, the circular line will provide on 30, 31 and 1 a special service with departure every 30 minutes and stop at the door of the cemetery as well as line 1 whose periodicity will be every hour.
A special security device will also be activated with a reinforcement from the Local Police, as well as auxiliary security personnel from day 28 to 1.
