The mayor of Social Policy and Health, María Dolores García, has visited, together with the director of the Center for Social Services, Rosa Mula, and the center's technicians, participants in the three training programs, launched by the Department, and included in the Intervention Project for the Socio-labor Insertion and Educational and Health Promotion of the Gypsy Collective in the municipality of Águilas, co-financed by the City Council, the European Social Fund, the Ministry and the IMAS.
During the visit, the mayor stressed that "the project is aimed at the socio-labor insertion and the educational and health promotion of the gypsy group residing in Águilas, working mainly on four axes: employment, education, health and cultural aspects."
At this time the active programs, which will conclude on May 31, are: "Sewing, cutting, sewing and preparation of accessories workshop. Aimed at women";
"Workshop on digital and traditional literacy for women";
and "Basic Cooking Operations Course".
In the same way, and also directed to the gypsy collective, the classroom of school support and educational reinforcement for school children in the town has been re-launched.
