The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, participated this morning in the meeting of mayors of the municipalities of the region organized by the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca (Ceclor).
In the act, in addition to the mayor of Águilas, the mayors and mayors of Lorca, Totana and Puerto Lumbreras have met, all of them agreeing on the need to "jointly defend the economic and business interests of the region, making claims that are necessary before the regional government and that of Spain, "said Moreno.
Among the issues addressed, the mayor has highlighted the "need to improve in matters that are essential for the development of our region, such as health, education and railway infrastructure."
Moreno has referred, specifically, to the impulse of the High Resolution Integral Center, to the extension of the educational offer and to the improvement of the commuter line.
Another issue highlighted by the mayor of the coastal municipality has been the "need to definitively approve the General Urban Planning Plan of Águilas".
Finally, Moreno thanked Ceclor "the impetus of a meeting that will surely serve to demonstrate that regardless of political colors, the municipalities of this region are willing to fight together to improve it."
