The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Sports, Cristóbal Casado received in the afternoon yesterday the athlete from Aguilar José Ramón Basanta Moreno, who was proclaimed winner in the BodyBuilding Spanish Championship in the Talla Baja category.
In the aforementioned competition, held in Estepona (Málaga) on November 8,9 and 10, Basanta also managed to win the silver in the modality of up to 70 kilos, climbing the podium twice in these categories.
It should be noted that the bodybuilder has an outstanding sports record.
Not in vain he has been national champion twice and three times champion of the Region of Murcia, achievements to which we must add this last feat.
The first mayor and the Councilor for Sports congratulated José Ramón for such important achievements and having achieved in 2019 such successful results.
"The effort has a personal reward, as is the case, but it also influences that the name of Eagles is at the top."
