Flavors and knowledge of artisanal fishing in the Region of Murcia is a publication prepared by the Columbares Association in collaboration with the Amureco Association, the University of Murcia and Fornet to value the protagonists of artisanal fishing, recovering traditional knowledge and flavors and forgotten species.
In it, its promoters publicize some of the seasonal species that we can consume, also providing information on their biology, fishing method, sustainability, and a recipe.
The recipes included belong to hotel and restaurant establishments and associations of the municipalities of Águilas, San Pedro del Pinatar, Cartagena and Mazarrón and for their elaboration in Águilas, the City Council of Águilas, the Fishermen's Association of Águilas and Hosteguilas
This new edition was presented yesterday in the Hall of Mirrors of the Casino during an act in which Ginés Desiderio Navarro, Councilor for Tourism, Environmental Education, Commerce, Industry and Supply Square, Bartolo Hernández, Councilor for Agriculture, were present Fishing, Pedanías, Green Zones and Mercado de Águilas, Manuel Díaz, senior patron of the Fishermen's Association of Águilas, Vicente Sánchez, president of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism of Águilas (Hosteáguilas) and Carmen Molina, coordinator of the publication in the Columbares Association.
The publication arises from the experience of the Columbares Association with the Fish with Art project: responsible fishing in your kitchen and is structured in the form of information sheets.
With it, citizens are offered a practical and attractive tool to facilitate the consumption of fishery products "with low environmental impact and high social benefit" every month of the year, favoring our local economy and contributing to maintaining traditional artisanal fishing, as well as promoting responsible consumption of proximity and season.
Flavors and knowledge, is reissued this year after the success of last year in which all copies were sold out.
Flavors and knowledge of artisanal fishing in the Region of Murcia is available in physical and digital format.
Anyone can download it for free on the Columbares Association website.
