The City Council, through the service concession company, began this morning the installation work of the new waste containers with which the current ones will be replaced.
"The objective - assured mayor of Cleaning, Isabel Fernández - is to progressively renew one hundred percent of them, including not only the urban area but also the districts."
As for the characteristics of the containers, Fernández has indicated that they are made of high strength material in order to guarantee their durability.
They are equipped with the new bilateral loading system for a more effective collection and also have a capacity of 3,000 liters, 1,000 more than those being removed whose capacity was 2,000 liters;
a fact, the increase in capacity, which will be very positive in specific seasons such as summer and Carnival when the population increases considerably.
As for the design, a cubic-shaped model has been chosen that will also repeat the paper containers and containers that will also be renewed in the coming months.
