The celebration began with a mass in the parish of San José which was attended by a large number of members of this security body, headed by José Antonio García Méndez, local police commissioner.

The event also featured the presence of the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno and other members of the municipal corporation who, after the religious service, shared a wine of honor with the other attendees, in which the mayor and the Local Police Commissioner wanted to pay tribute to colleagues who retired during this year.

Sunday's day was the conclusion of a program of events that has included different activities and brotherhood meetings between active and retired agents.
