The Eagles Early Care Center, dedicated to the therapeutic help of children under 6 years who have a deficit or delay in some area of ​​their development, permanent or transient, or are at risk of suffering it, and their families, will have 207,934 euros for the maintenance of it.
The vice president and counselor of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, and the mayor of Águilas, Mª Carmen Moreno, signed today the agreement in which the Ministry provides 121,530 euros and the City of Águilas 86,404 euros.
95 percent of the grant will go to pay the staff of the center consisting of two psychologists, a physiotherapist, a speech therapist and a coordinator.
In addition, another percentage will be recorded to pay for diets, supplies, teaching materials and insurance, among others.
More than 200 children received attention this year in this center of Águilas where they attend to receive one or two weekly sessions of speech therapy, psychological consultation and family intervention, sensory-motor stimulation, cognitive and psychomotor skills, as well as physiotherapy and home care.
The counselor considered these agreements a priority since "they allow to improve the quality of life of children with a deficit and guarantee their correct development as well as help their families"
