One more year, the guilas Mental Health Association has participated in the annual short film contest organized by the Region Mental Health Federation of Murcia (FEAFES).
The projections and subsequent awards ceremony took place on December 12 in the auditorium of the University Campus of Lorca, which had to expand its capacity to accommodate all the people who attended the event.
Different regional and local government authorities attended the event.
This year's short film entitled "You deserve to live" has been prepared by the users of this association and has been made in the Film Workshop they perform under the direction of the filmmaker Benito Rabal.
Script, production, props, locations, interpretation ... in all facets of the realization of the short film, users were present.
On this occasion the theme of the short film has been suicide, an issue that has been treated and highlighted internationally on the occasion of the celebration of World Mental Health Day.
As indicated by WHO, suicide prevention is a need that has not been adequately addressed due to the lack of information and awareness about this problem and the surrounding taboo.
We know that talking openly about suicide, publishing responsible and appropriate information is essential and can help prevent suicide.
