The PSOE Government Team gave green light this week to the municipal budgets for the year 2020, where an important economic amount is planned to finance the municipal contribution for the projects that will be carried out next year within the Development Strategy Integrated Sustainable Urban (EDUSI) through the Feder Funds and pointed out by the mayor of Economy, Jose Manuel Gálvez- "will allow to develop projects related to sustainable mobility, the sustainability of cultural, tourist and beach resources, the environment, spaces sustainable for social groups and equal opportunities for sectors of the population at risk of social exclusion ".
The municipal budget for next year is quantified at 28,415,634 euros;
"a figure very similar to that of last year, with a very restrained growth of just 2%, which, due to the commitment of this Government Team with the aquiline and aquiline, will in no case imply an increase in fiscal pressure" , said Galvez.
During the Extraordinary Plenary session, from the PSOE Government Team they have pointed out that "it is about budgets designed to favor Águilas, betting on the services that make our municipality better and, therefore, the life of the aquiline and aquiline ".
For this reason, important items such as those that make it possible to open school canteens in summer for children at risk of social exclusion or summer schools for children with special educational needs remain active.
Proof that people remain the really important thing for the Government Team has approved an increase of 16% in the section of miscellaneous expenses of the item of Social Services;
The subsidies for emergency social assistance have also registered an increase of 30%, as well as the subsidy to the Urci Occupational Center, which recorded a rise of 16.67%.
In the Education section, the mayor of the Economic area referred to the creation of a new subsidy for the AMPAS aimed at financing part of the educational activities of the Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students.
Culture is another of the sections that will be improved next year with a 16% increase in the investment of books for the Municipal Library, as well as the amount dedicated to municipal activities and the item dedicated to subsidizing the activities carried out by the local associations
Finally, the councilor of the Treasury has referred to the increase of more than 20% in the investment that the City Council will allocate to the recovery and maintenance of rural roads, as well as 6% in the Sports Program;
which will translate into more resources for the Municipal Sports Board and more investment for the development of sports activities.
