Quadratia Investment Partners (QIP), a company formed by the British investment fund M&G and the Alicante promoter Quadratia, will begin in 2020, through a group company, the construction of its first urban development project in the Region of Murcia.
This is the residential Isea Calma, a complex of 165 homes located in the Isla del Fraile resort.
QIP, specializing in international real estate marketing, has decided to bet strongly on Águilas, aware of the potential of this tourist area in the international residential tourism market, so far to explode.

The residential Isea Calma will reactivate a sector, Isla del Fraile, which was paralyzed by the economic crisis.
In the Isla del Fraile resort there are more than 600 homes built and it has the basic infrastructure and services.

QIP has bought a plot of more than 18,000 square meters of urban land on which the construction was planned, but that due to the crisis was paralyzed.
There, it will raise 165 homes with 1 to 3 bedrooms in three phases.
The first, with 85 homes, is scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2020.
The promoter commissioned the project to the prestigious Murcian studio Chamizo Arquitectos.

The architect responsible for the project, Pablo Chamizo, who in recent years has developed his work mostly abroad and the neighboring province of Alicante due to lack of initiatives in Murcia, highlights the importance that the Isea Calma project will have for economic and tourism development from the area
"In Murcia, something like this has not been planned since 2006. Aguilas is a spectacular tourist area and QIP has understood the potential it has and has not been exploited to date. As a Murcian, I am happy to work in my Region and do interesting things that they will create work for my neighbors, my people, "says the architect.
Chamizo explains that he has designed a residential "totally adapted to the orography and respectful of the fantastic environment, in which the houses will spirally wrap around it and adapt to it."
Achieving this merger with the mountain has not been easy, but it was a priority.
"The houses are flowing through the mountain in a natural and fluid way, with the complexity that this entails at the architectural level. To adapt to the orography, we have had to design them one by one; there are few that are exactly the same," says Chamizo.
The abundant vegetation and the tonalities in accordance with the colors of the mountain will complete the sensation of fusion with the surroundings.
Future plans for Águilas and its surroundings
QIP's interest in the Isla del Fraile sector does not end in Isea Calma.
The company is considering taking over other plots in the area and is even promoting the entry of a hotel operator in the sector, which would reactivate it even more.
The investment of the alliance between the Alicante promoter Quadratia and the British M&G fund in Isla del Fraile will be an important economic injection in the Region.
After having a study of Murcian architecture, Chamizo Arquitectos, for the design and direction of the work, it will be put in the hands of a prestigious construction company, which will give priority to local companies in subcontractors.
