Framed in the activities of the Permanent Headquarters of the University of Murcia in Águilas, two Wikidata workshops were held last week at the Europa and Carlos III institutes, taught by Isidoro Gil Leiva and Tomás Saorín, the professors of the Faculty of Documentation from the University of Murcia.
During the workshop, whose inaugural day was the mayor of Youth, Juan Andrés Torres, aspects related to Google, Wikipedia and Wikidata tools were discussed;
the difference between Wikipedia, which contains textual information, and Wikidata, which hosts a variety of data;
as well as to make simple queries but that can return valuable and useful information already structured.
From the Department of Education and due to the magnificent reception that this workshop has had, they have advanced that it will soon be offered to the rest of the institutes.
