The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the mayor of Citizen Security, Tomás Consentino, and the commissioner, José Antonio García, participated yesterday in the Opening Day of the Selective Basic Training course for Aspiring Agents to Join the Local Police Corps of the Region of Murcia (XXXIX Promotion), in which 6 applicants from the municipality of Águilas participated.
This selective course, organized by the School of Training and Innovation of Public Administration (EFIAP), will be developed at the School of Public Security of the City of Cartagena (ESPAC)
The course is organized and developed as established by Law 6/2019, of April 4, on the Coordination of Local Police of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, with a double purpose: to comply with the provisions of the aforementioned Law, which determines it as a prerequisite and necessary for entering the Local Police Corps, and providing adequate training to the aspiring personnel, which enables them to exercise their profession of Local Police Agents.
It lasts more than 1000 teaching hours per applicant, structured in two phases and will take place, approximately, over a period of seven months.
- First Phase - Practical Theoretical Training, face-to-face mode, in the facilities of the School of Public Security of the City of Cartagena, with a duration of 656 teaching hours per applicant.
This Phase will take place until Thursday, June 25, 2020.
- Second Phase - Training in the Templates: it takes place in the Police Corps of the municipality to which the aspiring staff corresponds, with an approximate duration of 500 hours.
This Phase is scheduled to begin on June 26, 2020 and will end on September 20, 2020.
The contents are structured in five areas of knowledge and an area of ​​practice, which harmonize the training needs of students, the concepts, procedures and basic attitudes necessary for professional practice and the performance of the functions of the body of the Local Police.
