Last week the IES Rey Carlos lll celebrated the award ceremony to the 70 students of the three eTwinning projects in French 2018-19, distinguished with the National and European Quality Seal and accessible from the center's website.
The event, which was attended by the ediles of Education and Youth, Francis Gallego and Juan Andrés Torres, began with the intervention of the coordinator, María José Sánchez, in charge of briefly presenting the two current projects (De la Terre à la Lune: journaux de bord 2020 and Genetic biodiversity in human traits).
During his speech, Sánchez toured the center's ten-year career in this great educational platform, highlighting the growing involvement of students, teachers and parents, the creative and interdisciplinary approach to dealing with European values ​​and sustainable development, as well as national and international awards and recognitions received.
In 2018, the IES won the European Prize for French Language and was selected as one of the 90 eTwinning centers in Spain.
The two French teachers, Ana France and María José, have achieved in 2019 a total of five Quality Stamps.
After the event, the AMPA offered the attendees a breakfast prepared and served by Basic Cooking and Restoration FP.
