A representation of Looije, the agricultural company specialized in the production of cherry tomatoes, has visited this morning the facilities of the Protectora de Animales de Águilas (Aguiproan).
The objective of this action was to know in situ the praiseworthy work that this NGO carries out daily with dogs and cats that have not been lucky enough to find a home.
At the hands of the president of Aguiproan, Marina Cook, the workers of the firm responsible for Tomato Sarita have verified the good state in which the more than 200 animals currently attending the organization are, thanks to the help of administrations , but also to the very important work of the volunteers, the contributions of partners and other individuals and, in short, another series of social initiatives.
Solidarity breakfasts for the benefit of Aguiproan
Among these actions, there are solidarity breakfasts that, since 2019, Looije celebrates and in which its workers make donations in kind in a totally selfless way.
Not surprisingly, last year, more than 150 kilos of feed and 30 cat litter were collected, as well as cleaning products, blankets, toys and feeders, among other utensils.
Also, next March, the second edition of an initiative will be held that had, at its premiere, a great acceptance among the employees of the agricultural company.
On behalf of the above, the new general director of Looije Águilas, Jacqueline Looije, came to visit;
the Director of Human Resources, Laura González;
the person in charge of Communication of OP Looije, Pedro M. Lozano;
and Blanca Carvajal, worker of the company and promoter of the initiative.
