The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the Councilor for Sports, Cristóbal Casado, have received at the municipal offices two of the local swimming teams that will soon compete nationally.
The first to participate is composed of Carmen Cegarra, Andrea Alcaraz, Ángel Ruiz, José Robles and Alfonso Franco, who will show their worth in the Spanish Championship of Swimming for Children and Junior Territorial Federations.
The aforementioned sporting event will take place in Tenerife from February 14 to 16.
Likewise, the following group, made up of Pablo Robles, Miriam Duro, Laura Escarabajal and Alfonso Cegarra, will travel to Oviedo (Asturias) to play, on February 28 and 29 and March 1, the VI Spanish Swimming Championship for Autonomous National Teams Alevín CSD
Both groups have been selected by the Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia, "which shows that our swimmers and swimmers are very well prepared to face important challenges," said the mayor who, like the head of Sports, He has wished good luck to all the young athletes to return winners of the competitions, which are just around the corner.
