More than 1,200 people witnessed, last Saturday, the Gala of Change of Powers;
the carnival event, presented in this edition by Alfredo Moreno and Inma Vidal, in which the characters take the witness of their predecessors thus officially starting the Carnival 2020.
Set in the world of Bollywood, the evening began with the performance, spectacular as always, of the Official Ballet of the Carnival Peñas Federation to subsequently give way to the president of the Peñas Federation, José Alonso, and the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, who said that "Carnival is all" and recalled and thanked "the work of all those who do not see each other but who make our big party possible".
After both speeches, it was time for the delivery of the Golden Masks that this year have fallen to Los Mellizos, Lorenzo López and Hidrogea.
After the most formal part of the event, the most anticipated moment of the night came when Encarni Ávila, Vicente Javier López, Mawi Simó and Marina Sánchez became Doña Cuaresma, Don Carnal, Mussona and Musa of our party.
