The spokesman of the Government Team, Tomás Consentino, has strongly condemned the vandalism against the monolith reminiscent of the Columbians deported to the Nazi concentration camps.
The plaque with the names of the nine victims was torn from the memorial, located in the Garden of Memory, where a graffiti of a far-right character was also carried out.
This is the second attack on the monolith in just four months;
a criminal action that - Consentino says - "is not accidental, but responds to a vandalism full of hate. A vandalism that we thought was already out of our streets but we see that it still manifests leaving evidence that there are still people interested in that the coexistence that has cost us so much to get out of the air ".
To conclude, the mayor has assured that "as much as they try they will not achieve it because the Democrats of this municipality will not allow it"
