The film producer “a contracorriente films” and Multicines “El Hornillo” had the kindness to offer the preview of the film “Specials” to the Associations “Mental Health Aguilas” (AFEMAC) and ASTEAMUR (Association for people with autism spectrum disorder of Murcia) in order to give visibility to the disability group and raise funds for both associations.
The event took place on February 27 and was attended by representatives of both associations, members of the municipal corporation and other political groups, and numerous public who had the opportunity to collaborate with these groups
The film, which has received excellent reviews in prestigious film festivals, is highly recommended for its technical and human quality because it reflects with great realism, rawness and hope the reality of people with severe autism and those who accompany them in their vital process .
It also highlights the importance of associative movements for disability because with their work, they offer these people resources that public administration does not provide.
Although the disability treated in the film is autism, we could extrapolate the situation to any type of disability.
