This morning the II Week of Science and Technology was inaugurated at IES Europe;
an initiative of the educational center with which it is intended, on the one hand, that the students of the center can see the practical application of the knowledge they acquire in the classroom and, on the other, disseminate science in a fun and attractive way.
Thus, in the sports hall of the center different stands have been installed in which the students themselves are in charge of making their classmates aware of different practices and experiments that they have prepared together with the teachers of the center.
After the success of the last edition, IES Europe has taken another step by inviting other educational centers to participate actively by installing a stand of the invited centers in which to show some of the experiments carried out in these centers.
The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, has toured this morning all the stands installed accompanied by the mayor of Education, Francis Gallego, the director of the Center, Ismael Lucena, the general director of Educational Innovation, Carlos Albaladejo, as well as different teachers who They have participated in the project and other members of the municipal corporation.
At the end of the visit, Moreno has insisted on the importance of developing active methodologies in schools that, like this one, allow students to experience and experience the acquired knowledge.
