Last Sunday, March 8, the Municipal Sports Board of Eagles hosted the awards ceremony of the Regional Junior Tennis Championship, which since last February 29 has been played in the aforementioned sports facilities.
This tournament is of great relevance, since it is qualifying to participate in the Spanish Junior Tennis Championship.
Tennis player Martín García Ripoll, of the Murcia Tennis Club, won the victory in the men's category, while María Paredes, of the Real Sociedad Club de Campo, did so in the women's category.
On the other hand, Fernando Pérez, of the Murcia Tennis Club, and Noelia Lorca, of the same club, were runners-up.
The awards ceremony was shared by the Councilors of Agriculture and Tourism of the City of Aguilas, Bartolomé Hernández, and Ginés Desiderio Navarro, respectively.
Both councilors congratulated these future promises of regional tennis, encouraging them to continue along the same lines as until now.
