The Águilas City Council, through the Department of Social Services and with the collaboration of the Civil Protection and Red Cross volunteers, has launched a solidarity support network aimed at the population most vulnerable to the coronavirus pandemic.
As explained by both the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of the area, María Dolores García, the objective of the same is to make basic products (food, cleaning and pharmacy) available to those people who, due to their age or physical conditions can not go out to make purchases.
They have been clarified from the consistory - a service aimed primarily at people who live alone or lack family support.
To be able to request this service, it is necessary that those interested contact the Águilas City Council's citizen service office on the phone 968 41 88 78. Subsequently, the volunteers will go to the homes of the people who have requested it in order to that they deliver the list of products they need, as well as the amount of the same that, once purchased, will be delivered to them by these same volunteers.
