"I request the Regional and National Governments to reach an agreement to issue the necessary orders or resolutions that prevent the opening of supermarkets on Sundays and holidays in areas of great tourist affluence, such as Águilas, during the period of the Alarm State. "
These have been the words of the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, who, as she did on March 20, has once again shown the refusal of the consistory of aquiline to open these establishments on Sundays and holidays.
"We believe that in a situation like the one we are experiencing, this opening announcement will only serve to attract people from neighboring municipalities to our town, generating an added problem for Águilas and, especially, for the workers of these establishments ", has reiterated the first mayor.
Finally, Moreno has insisted that "the workers in the food sector who have worked tirelessly since the beginning of this situation, being an example of responsibility and service to the rest of the citizen, deserve, at least, to be able to rest one day at the week without being exposed to COVID19 ".
