| Navarro: "The fishermen want to guarantee their job security to avoid contagions and need the involvement of the central government" | The Municipal People's Group has presented a motion, to be debated in the ordinary plenary session of April, in which it is requested that the City Council of Águilas, urgently, urges the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to protect the products fishing versus importing non-EU products. Navarro has stated that "now we must lean on the shoulder from the administrations and supply the sector with the necessary protective material to continue developing its activity, within the primary sector, something that the Municipal People's Group considers to be essential". The PP councilor explained that, after a meeting with the Eagles Fishermen's Association, all the proposals of the fishing sector have been collected in a motion.
"Working hand in hand with them is how we can know what the sector needs at these critical moments", so "we have also requested that the granting of tax credits or deductions for the fishing sector be studied as a consequence of the effects of the pandemic of COVID-19 ", has highlighted the popular mayor. To conclude, Navarro has clarified that "specific campaigns for the promotion of the sector should be carried out from the consistory itself together with the Brotherhood of Eagles Fishermen" and thanked "the effort of all the fishermen of Eagles who every day go out to the sea ??so that we have the product in our homes.
