The Government delegate in Murcia, José Vélez, reported yesterday, April 20, to the City Councils of the Region that the Government has authorized the opening of cemeteries exclusively to florists, who may go to said venues to carry out flower arrangements . The objective of this measure is to alleviate the serious crisis facing the flower sector cut by the Covid 19 crisis, as well as allowing families who want to put flowers to their deceased to be able to do so by going to a florist that will be the one in charge of placing them. In this sense, the mayor of Cemeteries, Isabel Fernández, has insisted on the fact that "the cemetery will remain closed to the general public and its opening will be exclusively for florists who must comply with adequate protection measures." Finally, Fernández thanked the municipal staff, as well as the cleaning teams that, also now and despite the health crisis, continue to keep the churchyard in perfect condition. function { ;(, , {});}
