| The fruit and vegetable company, specialized in organic products, will be renamed BioLooije | This new stage contemplates integration into the Looije Producers Organization, SL The Looije group, of Dutch origin but with a presence in Spain since 1998, has acquired the entire shareholding of Luis Andújar SLU, an Almerian agricultural company specialized in the production of organic fruits and vegetables.
The definitive transfer has been closed in recent days, after the purchase of the shares that still belonged to Luis Andújar Quesada, corresponding to 49% of the total. Thus, from now on, the company, which will change its name to BioLooije, will be chaired by Jos Looije, owner of Looije Águilas (company dedicated to the production of cherry tomato in the said Murcian municipality) and Looye Kwekers, a Dutch firm with more 70 years of experience in the agricultural sector.
The new directive, however, has insisted that it is only a change of company name, since the company will maintain its CIF.
Similarly, contracts and commitments with customers, suppliers and employees will remain fully in force. Looije Producers Organization As with Looije Águilas, BioLooije will become part of the Looije Producers Organization, a company led by Juan José López López and responsible, among other things, for the marketing of the product (until now, exclusively cherry tomato Sarita, among others brands) from a dozen farmers in Almería and the Region of Murcia.
This OPFH was formed in 2010, operating since then with total independence from its Dutch sister and growing to reach 6,436,000 kg annually and a turnover of more than 12,000,000 euros in 2019.
