Águilas has once again become the municipality of the Region with the highest number of Blue Flags.
In total there will be eleven badges that will fly this year in the municipality, as announced yesterday by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac), responsible in Spain for delivering them. Specifically, it has been the beaches of Las Delicias, Levante, La Colonia, Poniente, Calarreona, La Higuerica, La Carolina, Matalentisco and Casica Verde that have achieved the distinction along with the Juan Montiel and Club Náutico marinas. The mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, who was very satisfied with the news, stressed that the objective that is imposed year after year by the City Council is to achieve the largest number of recognitions for those beaches listed in the water quality program and that they have a surveillance and first aid service since they are the ones that can opt for said badge.
