The Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, together with the mayor of Urbanism and Citizen Security, Tomás Consentino, and other members of the Municipal Corporation, visited this morning the works to improve the Águilas-Lorca highway that have been carried out by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure within the plan to repair the damage caused by Dana in September 2019. During the visit they were accompanied by the General Director of Roads, José Antonio Fernández.
The actions have been carried out on the RM-1 Motorway and on the Variant of Eagles (RM-D14), where new slopes and ditches are being rebuilt to prevent future erosion, all at a cost of 132,000 euros.
