The City Council of Águilas recently hosted the presentation of the 2020 Summer Book; A publication "atypical for a summer that, due to the health situation we are going through, will also be atypical" - announced the mayor of Festejos, Cristóbal Casado. The publication, edited by the City Council and whose layout, design and writing work has been carried out by Isabel López and Gabriel Muñiz, has parked this time its classic programming content and summer articles by different collaborators to become a volume of Thanks to all the people and institutions that have dedicated their efforts to alleviate the consequences of the terrible health crisis caused by Covid-19. "It is time," assured the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, "to reiterate a sincere thanks to the heroes of this pandemic, those who, setting an example of social commitment, have continued to be on the front line offering essential services." It should be noted that, as in previous editions, the book will once again have a charitable character, putting itself up for sale for a symbolic price of one euro that will go entirely to Cáritas.
"In these times that we have been shaken by a global pandemic, which has not only put our physical integrity at risk, but also our economy, we must think of the most disadvantaged.
For this reason, we have thought that with the acquisition of this Book of Summer we can all help to alleviate the effects of the Covid-19 ", said Moreno during an event in which the president of Cáritas, Ana Cortijos was also present.
