Five aquiline companies have received the diploma of the Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations (SICTEC) through which the commitment to tourist quality and the commitment to higher quality services are recognized.
In addition, the same act of delivery has served for another five to renew it. In this sense, the Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, present at the event together with the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, pointed out the need to "improve the quality of our tourism and the competitiveness of the destination among all", while Congratulations to the companies that work to achieve this day by day, among them those that have collected their diplomas: Pescadería Hijos del Niño, Centro Papel, Motorhome Rental, Bea Beach Hostel, Costa Calida Travel, Heladería Venecia, La Joyita, Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel and Tourist Office. Tourism Quality System The Comprehensive System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism, with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
It works with tourist companies and services of up to 32 different trades, with the aim of improving the tourist experience and satisfaction. The wide range of trades provides tourists with a comprehensive quality vision of the destination, ranging from public services, such as tourist information offices or citizen security, to shops, restaurants and accommodation, among others. The system is considered the best tool to increase the tourist competitiveness of destinations.
Entrepreneurs who adhere to this quality method receive throughout the process the support and advice of the Tourism Institute to obtain the badge awarded by the Secretary of State for Tourism.
