The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the technician of Economic-Financial Management of the City of Águilas, Diego María Martínez, visited yesterday the Ramón y Cajal school where painting work is being carried out by the participants of the Program of Local Public Employment "Reinforcement equipment for the maintenance of municipal buildings, urban facilities and others". It should be noted that the Regional Employment and Training Service processes the aid of the public employment program; a program in which the Ministry of Employment and Social Security finances 100% of the total salary cost of contracted workers and the City Council of Águilas all the materials and equipment used. In the specific case of this edition, 7 people have been hired as first-rate officers (2 masons, 2 building maintainers, 1 plumber, 1 painter, 1 locksmith). After the visit, the first aquiline mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, emphasized that "what is pursued with this type of action is to improve the employability of its participants, while activities of general interest are carried out." In this sense, the actions carried out so far by the participants have consisted of works to improve municipal facilities, street accessibility, painting at the Ramón y Cajal and San Juan de las Águilas schools and repairs on the Paseo de Parra bike path.
