The mayor of Cleaning, Isabel Fernández, has highly valued the selective collection figures for the first half of the year with some data - the councilor pointed out - which have been a record in our town in terms of recycling rates . In this sense, Fernández has stated that the fraction of containers in the yellow container has increased by 35% in the first six months of the year, which has meant a collection of 47 more tons compared to the same period last year.

Another fraction that has also been increased has been the paper-cardboard, blue container, with an increase of 11.53% in the first half of 2020.

Continuing with the analysis of the recycling containers, the glass container has It was the only one that has registered a decrease, specifically a decrease of 11.53%, data that, Fernández pointed out, may be linked to the fact of the abnormal situation we are experiencing and for which the catering establishments had to be closed for weeks and nightlife. Similarly, this greater public awareness regarding recycling is also observed in the reduction of the contribution to the container of the rest, which has registered a decrease of 2.24%.

"If we analyze this data as a whole, we understand that the reduction in tons in the rest container and the increase in cardboard and packaging are due to the fact that the citizens of Aguilar are increasingly developing recycling practices in their homes."
