The City Council of Águilas acquired this week a plot, owned by Cáritas and located in the Virgen de los Dolores square, intended for the construction of a social revitalization center that will include a "hotel for associations", a coworking space, classrooms of training and an attached green area. Specifically, and with regard to the Hotel of Associations, which was one of the electoral commitments of the current government team, it is conceived - according to the mayor of the town, Mari Carmen Moreno - as a space in which social and health associations of the locality will be able to carry out their daily work allowing, in addition, the creation of new synergies between the local associative fabric. The creation of this space is framed within the Águilas Sostenible project for which the Águilas City Council obtained in 2018 a subsidy of 5,000,000 euros in aid from the European Union from the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) within of the Operational Program for Sustainable Growth FEDER 2014-2020.
