The Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the Councilor for Sports, Cristóbal Casado have received the Mountain Bike athlete from Aquileia, Tomás Ortega Bustos, in the mayoralty of the town hall, who rose to first place in the general classification of the Spanish Championship of Rally XCO, in the 50B mode.
The aforementioned sporting event took place in Valladolid last Saturday, September 19, 2020.It is worth highlighting the broad curriculum that this great local cyclist has, in his different categories.Thus, in 1992 he conquered the elite category; in1993 the Open of Spain; in2015 obtained the first place in the Championship of Spain; in2016 he won second place in the Spanish Championship and in 2017 he won fourth place in the Spanish Championship.The head of the local Executive and the mayor of Sports congratulated Tomás Ortega Bustos for the new feat achieved, encouraging him to continue in the same line and wishing him the best of luck in the face of future challenges.The aquiline Ortega Bustos has been competing at the highest level for many years, leaving the pavilion of our municipality in the most prominent of the national scene in the Mountain Bike modality.
